Black Tahini


1/2 C. black sesame seeds
1/4 C. cooked black lentils or tofu
1/4 C. lemon juice or lime juice
1/4 C. olive oil
3-6 peeled garlic cloves
1/4 C. chopped onion
a pinch of oregano
a little ground cumin and coriander
a small hot pepper
salt, pepper and tamari to taste
*- optional: avocado or chopped black mushroom, cilantro or thai basil, wasabi

Blend until smooth, adding a little more liquid if needed. Pretty easy, huh?!
