Hello Summer!

Kind of a lot going on.
First of all, tour was great, the best yet, excellent in fact!
Now, I've got summer fun in California - masquerade party in Sacramento June 20, Food and special parties at and around This Is Not A Step at Gilman St. in Berkeley June 28-30, a community activist event in San Diego July 13th. With multiple dinners and such swirling around those dates, so feel free to book something if you wish.
And of course, Why Not Minot in August which means I will again be breezing thru Minneapolis, North Dakota, and probably Milwaukee and Chicago, and Montana too!
Cookbooks are all lined up...
*there's a Chocolate history, recipe and nutrition book which vegan dietitian Matt Ruscigno is writing, with me doing the recipes that comes out thru Quayside later this year it will be daring and informative, and most of my recipes are savory as we attempt to reclaim chocolate from the clutches of confection...
*a vegan holiday cookbook from Pioneers Press detailing some fun feasts for a smattering of entertaining holidays- some interesting and very versatile stuff in that one, probably hitting the streets late summer or early fall...
*got a spooky grimoire/horror story cookzine I'm doing with Brad Baker, which should pretty strange- I just love all of this weird stuff. Plain cookbooks can be so boring, why not make life interesting...
*another batch of recipes in the new Let Gluten Freedom Ring from Punch Drunk Press- the first one was great!
*and of course the This Ain't No Picnic cookbook with the punk-rock themed recipes. Some of that will be shocking or esoteric, with blurbs and introductions from some interesting people, crazy ass color photos of punks, food and mayhem from Vice Cooler and Dalton Blanco, and some really useful and interesting recipes involving dashboard dehydration, garish color schemes and interpretations of genre and sound thru texture. It really will be something else. One version of the cover is posted on this blog somewhere. More on that soon...

I'll update the progress on some of this next week and throw down a few recipes from tour!
cheers, and hope to see some of you out and about this summer

Hi! The Chocolate and Chard salad (I think it was) you served at the Dinner + Bikes tour stop in E. Lansing was rockin'! Are you gonna recipe-ize it? I want more! :) (My email is jeff@outyourbackdoor.com -- can you put me on a cookbook email list?)
